There 1$ aH^ge %mTO»of Maoris mthe township to-day ,NytaX^he^B^B.^fi^in Te Kuiti. Tumuhoi and party have arrived at Kopua en route to Whiliiora, who is seriously ill at Hautoru. There is a large amount of sickness and many
deaths amongst tbe natives. A very high wind has been blowing here this afternoon. The Public Wall has been blown down. The hall was built out of a subscription to the amount of £170, which was supplemented by a sum of £30. The hall was painted some time ago, and stood as a monument of ioipecuniosity until lately. To-day workmen commenced putting on the ridgepole.
