Mr Canny is &t man the public have confidence J ih*r In clearing the court to consider the verdict, a true bill of indictment was framed without even asking the mau a question, and not granting a license to a man who has, for the last eight years, been without any fault to be chargecL against him by the publfo or the police Cafcft'^owXyj^thii^Alr Canny commenced to ere3KhVfi&tel o^TtnVgood faith of what he was told byJlasV»yaar\ DTofcEsing Court afc Hamilton, that if he erected ia good hotel at To' Awamutu, a3 the accommodation there was bad * the Bench would grant him a license.
