CHURCH MEETING AT CAMBRIDGE.
After Divine service on Sunday last, a well attended meeting of the members of the Church of upland took place, the Bishop of the Diocese in the chair. The Bishop informed the meeting that lit- was the bearer of £25 from tne Society for the Propogation of Christ iau Knowledge, in London, h sum which had been grantel in answer to an appeal made in hehalf of the building fund of the Church, and which should accordingly be handed over, by any one nominated by the nieetin/, to the source from which the- money had been borrowed, so as to reduce the amount of the principalThe meeting resolved that the money should be paid to Mr Richardson by the Bishop. On the motion of Mr Ewen, seconded by Mr Park'r, it was unanimously agreed that instead ot £45 as heretofore, 'lie sum of £80 (annually) be guaranteed towards the support of a clergyman for the district — the alteration to take place from the present date. The meeting was brought to a close with a cordial vote of thanks to the right rev chairman.
