Correspondence.
To the Editor of the Waikato TIMES. Sir, — There has been published in your paper a false report concerning Susan McCann and Edward Hewitt. This would be contradicted befDre, but a solicitor had the case in hand. Now Sir, as a gentleman and a man that respects the female community, I think it is your duty to publish in your worthy paper, the party or individual that was so base as to sign his name to such a foul calculating lie. — I am, <fee. ♦>
Susan McCann. Cambridge, March Bth, 4875. [We wish we knew the name of the person who sent the advertisement to a contemporary, we would not only publish it, but would see that ho met with condign punishment. We regret that vre should in any way have been instrumental in hurting the young lady's feelings. — Ed. W.T.]
