(From the Anglo-Australian Telegraph Agency) LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
The Colonial Secretary, in reply to a question by the lion Mr Waterliou.se as to what steps were being taken in regard to telegraphic communication with Europe, stated that recently the agent of the Government of New South Wales had called for tenders for the cable.
