G. J. Neal v. J. CiurPBRLL.— The defendant was charged on the information ot G. J. Ncal with having stolen a coat from' the National Hotel, on the night of Sunday, the 2-Ath May. Mr Madden appeared for the defence. Mr Neal's evidence having been given, the case was withdrawn. Te Pake v. Regvn. — This was an information for an assault committed by the defendant (an aboriginal native) on the informant on or about the 24th day of May last. »L r Whitaker '.appeared for informant, Mr Madden for defendant. 'The evidence on both sides having been heard, the defendant was fined the sum of £5, and costs £2 10s. "Walkkb t. Fbbottson. — This was an action to recover the sum of £16 due under the Fencing Act, for share of cost of fencing done by Mr Walker. Mr Madden appeared for plaintiff. On account of the non-production of the necessary Gaztttes, a nonsuit was accepted by the plaintiff for tho purposo of commencing a fresh action. Reid v. Fee. — This tra? an action to recover the sum of £20 damage done to wheat and potatoes, tho property of tho piatntiff, by piga, tho property of defendant. Mr Madden appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Whitakor for defendant. After a considerable amount of evidence had been taken, the Bench reserved judgment until the following morning, when the defendant was adjudged to pay the sum of £7 10a, and £2 19s costs. Robinson v. BurbkidOE.— This caso was to recover the sum of £9 3s 6d on an T.O.TJ. given by defendant to plaintiff. Mr Madden appeared for defendant. A nonsuit was recorded against plaintiff witli £-1 3s 6d co»ts.
