ANNUAL DISTRICT MEETING OF THE 1.0.0.F, M.U., A D. (From tho Daily Southern Cross, Saturday.)

Yestbbday afternoon, at % o'clock, tlio annual district meeting of the I 0.0 F., M.U., A. T). was commenced in the District Chambers, Cook-street, the deputies from the five lodges comprising the Auckland District ai<>einbliiig punctually at that tune. The following gentlemen were present : Prom the Fountain of Friendship Lodge— P P G.Ms. G Leahy, Flemings Guird, and N,Gs. Seermg, E[. M,«thewi. From the Paruell Lodge, PG. Burge»g. From the Good Intent Lodge— PP. G.M. T. Cole and P.Go. Job Holland and F. Goombes. From the Charles Bruce Lodge, Thames— P.Qg. Thackeray aiidJotkins. The chair was occupied by P.G.M. Pouley, and the vice-olmir by Dep. f.G.M. Mockie. Corresponding Secretary J- Derrom , wai also present. Past Grand Master T. llobson was elected Provincial Grand Master for 1874, and Past Secretary H. J. Smith was elected Provincial Deputy Grand Mastor. Corresponding Secretary Derrom still remains in office. The iwual statistical reports were road and adopted. Votes of thanks were passed to the outgoing officer*, and the meeting closed with the usuul formalities at ten minutes past 7 o'clock. It was arranged that the next district meeting should tako place at the Thames. A dinner was held afterwards P P.G. M. Cole responding to the toast of the Manchester Unity read the folbuirg statement : —
