Four hundred and eighty entries hare already been received for tbe rifle matches. New Zealand will send 24, representatives. Eight Mitford rifles have arrived per mail for the competitors. The first wool sale of the season toot place to-day. The competition was animated, and prices nearly approached to the London rates, 15d was paid for greasy from the Western district, and li 8d to 2s 5d for fleece, a parcel of hot water waahed. Altogether there are 401 entries for the Rifle Mntches. The Intercolonial and Civilian matches are still kept open. Adelaide, October 22.
