GAME OF BOWLS.
DILLON SHIELD. The second round - for the Dillon Shield was played on Saturday, when Waipukurau-beat Waipawa on the aggregate by 24 points. Both clubs have a win to their credit, and the next round will be the deciding one. The greens were keen, and some close games were played. The following arc the results, Waipukurau players being mentioned first: — Y Rood, White, Richards, Haldane, 24, beat Walker, Greenside, Haldane, and Strong, 17. - Murphy,. Johnson, Pctherick, and Moore, 22, beat Jackson, Davy, Rathbone, and Critchley, 17« ? ' - : " Hughes, Brown,, Cook,and Ha11,'26, beat Dillon, - Daily, Weddc, and Riddle, 14.
Thorburn Chatwin, Lauric, and Saunders. 26, drew with Walker, H. Dillon, Holt, and Miller, 26. In the play-off, Saunders won by 2 points.
