WEDDING BELLS.
0 On Tuesday afternoon at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church a marriage was solemnised between Mr A. Lilly, of Hawera (nephew of Mr S. McNutt, of Wanstead, and of Mr F. McNutt, of Waipukurau), and Miss Rebe Cassidy, daughter of Mr J. A. Cassidy, of Napier. The Rev. James Pattison officiated. The bride was becominglydressed in a pretty cream serge costume and also wore a white hat of crinoline straw trimmed with chiffon and ribbon, and carried a shower bouquet. She was attended by one bridesmaid (Miss Pearl McNutt) who wore white bishop’s lawn, trimmed with ‘ insertion, and a crinoline straw hat, with forget-me-nots and roses, and also carried a shower bouquet. The bridegroom was attended by the two brothers of the bride, Messrs S. R. and J. Cassidy. The recept ion was held at the Leviathan Private Hotel, the small dining-room being specially prepared for the occasion. The table was prettily decorated with flowers, while hanging overhead were two wedding bells. The happy couple, who intend spending their honeymoon at Rotorua, left by the 5.30 train the same evening. The bride’s travelling dress was of brown cloth with hat to match. Mr and Mrs Lilly will reside in Hawera, where Mr Lilly is in business.
