PRIMROSE COMPANY.

The Primrose Entertainers appeared for two nights in the Town Hall to fair houses. They are undoubtedly a clean, refined, and up-to-date company. They came with a good reputation and upheld it. Miss Alixa Woodham has a splendid soprano voice, which shows years of training, and was heartily applauded for her artistic rendering of “ Down the Vale,” and “ In Old Madrid.” Mr Bert Roulslon is a brilliant pianist and a good comedian. He caused roars of laughter in his funny far. is, and his deaf boy and old grandmother were good pieces of character acting. Miss Flo Weston is a delightful little serio. with a good voice and taking songs and she was very popular. Mr Harry Primrose’s banjo-playing was a treat, his Tghtningruns and chromatic chords being a revelation. He also proved himself a good comic singer, able to amuse without being vulgar. The bioscope was very steady and showed some lovely pictures. The Peirrots were sple idid, their voices blending well together. In fact, the whole entertainment was first-class, and if Mr Primrose returns he is sure to receive a good welcome and a bumper house. The company appear at Pukipuki to-night and on Monday, and at Ormondville on Tuesday.
