FOOTBALL.
At a meeting of the Waipawa Sub-Union at Waipawa last evening, it was decided that the match between Waipukurau and Onga Onga be played again at the end of the season. Porangahau was granted £-5 towards the expense of sending a term to Waipukurau. A letter from the Bush Union regarding the sending of a team from Waipukurau to play a fßush team was considered very unsatisfactory, and it was decided to write for an explanation. The following will represent Waipukurau juniors against Tikokmo at Waipukurau on Saturday:—Perrott, Pirie, W. Lomas, C. Jones, Hooker, Rood, Cox, McGrath, Cook, H. Simpson, G. Lomas, Bernard, Pederson, Hislop, Fox ; emergencies, Hammington and A. Chambers. The match Britain v. Taranaki, played at New Plymouth on Wednesday, resulted in the defeat of
the visitors byy five points to nil. Tea game was fast and even, there b i.g no score till about five minutes from time, when Dive s -ci; ed a try near the corner, v ii -‘i Cameron, with a splendid I. A, converted.
