— ■""O—0“ «. GENERAL. The Southern members of the New Zealand football team arrived at Wellington from the North last night, and were given an enthusiastic welcome. They will be formally received by the Mayor to-day, and threee or four Ministers of the Crown will attend the function. Further borrowing for the city to the amount of £200,000 is recommended by the Finance Committee of the Wellington City Council. Of this £BO.OOO is for tramway s. Public works, lighting, the recreation grounds, and a new library building make up the balance. Air R. S. Low, who was lost for ten days owing to injuries received through a fall from an ice-covered couloir, was brough down to/Timaru from Fairlie and is now in the Timaru Hospital, where he will remain to recuperate. A Tokatoka (Auckland) setter named Charles Rawlinson is reported missing. He took a revolver with him.
