Mounted Rifles.

—o ■ The Waipukurau troop of theHawke’s Bay Mounted Rifles held a parade on Wednesday night under Lieut. Canning, there being a full muster. Sergt. Blom delivered a lecture on “ Advance guard ” work. The following new members wereelected: —A. jN'iehol, A. Weavers,. R. Absolum, and H.Baskiville. It was decicied to hold a ball during the coming winter, Sergt. Blom and Trooper J. Bailey being elected hon. secs. Several new members have been elected lately, and there is every prospect of a strong troop going into the next annual camp. It was decided to fire the second match for possession of the gold medal on Wednesday, 14th inst.
