A cable has boon received from Towns' supporters in London offering to back liim to moot Sianbury on tho Thames for £IOOO a-sido. Stanbury's supporters aro not at present inclined to accept tho offer, considering the Parramalla Kivor good enough. It is stated that Stanbury can get plenty of looal backing, and it is almost confident that a match will bB made.
