In each case the winner has the satisfaction of knowing that he has won it straight out. In the leaping events for lady riders, in addition to the prize, money Mr. Hugh Gillies-gives a gold bangle to the; besh lady-; Tided in reform -dress. Among the other trophies is a handsome - gbld mfedals given-by Mr James Doombes for the champion-hack.- ■ t ; ■ Amongst the trophies offered in the cattle classes in the Wanganui Dairymen’s ■solid - silver. Challenge/-cupfor..the most points in purebred dairy classes, to be won twieo/dn-succession or three times; at intervals./ ’ Messrs' Slack' Bros, won -this; trophy last’ year,- and .it, is .needless -to say these popular- breeders are 'making a big /effort to-wiii'it light out this-year. ' Mr Charles DimCaii was'last year’s winner of the‘ other Challenge cup given for the most pointin' crossbre ddairy. heifers. : TBik ; Valdahle i! trophy ? will also be keenly competed for. ■ The most valuable trophy offered in the sheep classes; is the Quibell solid silver ; Challenge Cup, valued at 25 guineas, ■given through Messrs- Quibell’s local agents, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd,, for the most points in purebred classes to be i won ’four,; times at intervals or-three times in succession.
