■j £3613 IN ONE DAY. Three thousand six hundred and thirteen pounds sterling. That's the amount paid into Adams’, Ltd’s, Timara garage in one day last month for “E.M.F.” and “Flanders” cars. Five 30 h,p. “E.M.F.” cars and six 20-h.p. “Flanders- ’ cars were sold and delivered on that day, the purchasers being Messrs T. Kinross, J. Dickson, J. Ashby, T. C. Mullions, J. Eae, W. E. McGrath, H. A. Glenie, O’Callaghan and Le Cren, C. E. Kerr, J. Adam, and G. Cartwright. These are the first fruits of an honest policy in selling American cars. We tested the “E.M.F.” and “Flanldors” before we put them on the market. We replaced the American tyres with Michelins, and stipulated for up-to-date, flush-sided bodies, with high side doors, front and rear. We . brought the cars into line with our standard for European cars, and the centre of the finest agricultural district in the South Island has endorsed our policy up to the hilt. In addition to our big Christchurch business and our Wanganui and Timaru branches, we have agencies in almost every town in the Dominion. Everywhere the E.M.F.” and “Flanders” have gained the confidence of motorists. The reason is in the cars themselves. The product of the greatest American automobile factory, designed by the cleverest engineers in the States, and built with absolute honesty, they represent the biggest value offered in high-grade powerful cars in New Zealand torday. The five-sea ter 30-h.p. W!f.M.P.” sells at ,£375. The 20-h.p. “Flanders” at £295. Both are equipped with Cape hood, wind-shield, and five lamps.
