THE PREMIER IN THE SOUTH. Another Big Meeting. (Per United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 8. Sir Joseph Ward went to Woodend tonight and’addressed one of the largest audiences of electors ever gathered there. Sir .Joseph spoke on the lines of his Winton speech and received a cordial reception with much applause. ... A vote of thanks and confidence in the Government was carried unanimously. Regarding the apology of the Otaki Mail to the Premier, the proprietor writes that the statement complained of had “absolutely no foundation in fact."
