The course is in good order, and there is a large attendance for Oaks day. Results: Hurdles. —Tyrannic 1, Passive 2, Goldpin T Scratched—Hawick. Tyrannic led throughout, and, easily stalling off Passive's challenge, won uy a good length, with fbiSr’ lengths between second and third’. Gaelic was next. Time, drain 0 4-ssee. Spring Nursery.—Winning Way 1, Anna Carlovna’ 2, Gnome 3. Scratched —Champagne. Anna Carlovna led to the distance. but Winning iv ay then wore her down. winning by half a length, half a length between second and third. Special Form was next. Time, 49 2-5 • Avon- Welter. —Ireland 1, Rnrik 2, Birkliuc 3. All started. Dearest led into the straight. A good finish was fought out, Ireland winning by a length, two lengths between second lin’d third. Medallist was fourth.; Time, Imiii 27 3-ssec. CAN’Ir.RBURY CUP, of 700 sovs. two. miles and a-quarter. VICE- \DMIRAL 1 MASTERPIECE 2 DOMINO .' 3 All started. BUSHY PARK YEARLINGS. Two thoroughbred yearling fillies, bred by Air G. F. Moore at Bushy Park, Kai Iwi, wore sold by auction by Messrs Pyne and Co. at Tattersall’s, Christchurch, yesterday, and the prices realised for these youngsters topped the sale. A chestnut fillv by Boniform—Helen Portland, brought 500 guineas, while a hay filly by Charlemagne ll.—Ma Mie Rosette realised 300 guineas.
