Blr George Hunter, Opposition candidate for Waipawa, addressed a large meeting last night. The candidate condemned what ho alleged was Government extravagance,, and also tho appointment of Royal Comraissiouls. He favoured tlie freehold i tenure, and thought the expenditure on tlie Dreadnought would have been more wisely spent on roads, bridges, and schools. He supported military training, the candidate received a good hearing and was accorded a vote of thanks and eonJulenco on ILe voices.
