CABLE BREVITIES.
Bill the- Miner, a famous convict, who has escaped from gaols in Canada and the United States, and recently escaped 'from Wainesboro, Georgia, has been found. He resisted arrest, and was shot dead. The Canadian Minister of Trade has intimated that -Mr W. A. Baddoer Auckland Commissioner, will be removed from the, service shortly, and that Air Preston, agent in Holland, will also bo asked to resign. The steamer. Hansy ran on the rocks- at the Lizard. All the 24 aboard were rescued by the rocket apparatus. The captain's wife and baby were taken off first. There,have been 10' deaths at Tangier of suspected plague. The inhabitants of the infected quarter have been segregated in a camp.
