CABINET BUSINESS.
PUBLIC WORKS APPROVED. (Per United Press Association.) , WELLINGTON, November 3. A. meeting of .the Cabinet took place to-day, when the following business was transacted:'—, For the Seaeliff Mental Hospital drainage, .£5600 was authorised. Plans were approved for a public works’ workshop at Auckland, and tenders were authorised to be invited. Plans and specifications were approved, and authority given to invite tenders for the construction of a tunnel at Lake Coleridge water power works. , . • , Tenders were accepted for piles at tin; Tangarakau river bridges. Plans and specifications were approved, and authority given to invite tenders for police stations at Maungaturoto and Taumarunui. Tenders were authorised to be called for road work at Tongatorutu to Mangaroa (iMOO) and Otorohanga to Otcwa (.£300). : . , For ;M6nht Parnassus . station yard, plans and specifications were approved, and authority given for :/ calling., tenders, also for road bridge at,Tahantara. . An amount of .£3750 for a public works’ workshop and store at' Wellington was approved. . ; The resignation of the Solicitor-General as-a member, of the State Guaranteed Ad-' vaaces Board, on account of extra duties, was accepted,, and the Valuer-General .was appointed, in bis -stead-on 'the' Board:
