WAR OFFICE EXPERIMENTS. LONDON, October 28. Successful experiments have been made by the War Office' with wireless telephones. The first tests wore carried out between the War Ojfico and Messrs. Grindell and Matthews’s establishment in Gloucestershire, over a distanco.of five miles. The messages wore transmitted satisfactorily. , The system is to-' be tried between Chepstow, in England, and Cardiff, in Wales, a distance of 25 miles, and subsequently at Aldershot, where man-lifting kites will be used instead of towers for towers for the purpose of receiving the messages.
