A NEW CHINA.
MEDITERRANEAN SITUATION ECLIPSED. WASHINGTON, October 27. Despatches received here late last night concerning the state of affairs in the Far East have caused diplomats to reckon on a new China. ' It’ is thought that there is more than a possibility that the situation in the Orient has completely eclipsed that in the Mediterranean. Hankow has great storage tanks Delonging to the Standard Oil Company, and also a big tin factory for distributing oilcans. , The American Tobacco Company has large works at Hankow. ' Another big firm interested is the, Westinghouse and General Electric Company, which has a big factory there. -
