SWIMMING.
THE GONTILLE BATHS. The Gonville Town Board’s baths will be ' officially opened to-morrow afternoon at 3 o’clock by the chairman of the Town Board, Mr A. G. Bignell. Professor 01d«. the custodian of the baths, will give an exhibition of diving, etc., arid Mr Payne’s boys will give-a life-saving display, which should prove very interesting. In addition, there will be a sprint handicap raccv over 75 yards, for which the following entries have been received:—C. Swan, D. ■I. Moore, A. Bridges,'G. G. Mitchell, W. J. Bakewell, N. Anuabell, F. K. Turnbull, G. E. Jago, L. Armstrong, D. Stewart, I>. Borthwfck, GV Hanna, and N. P. McDowell. The programme, which is under the management of tne Gonville Swimming Club, promises to be very interesting, and it is anticipated that there will bo a large attendance, especially as admission will be free. ‘
