It is officially that from the 23rd to the 2fi|h ihe Italian losses at Tripoli were thirteen officers and 361 men killed, and 16 officers and 142 men wounded. Tho preponderance of killed was due to’tho fact that a baud-of rebel Arabs suddenly attacked Borsagleri on tho flank. Reuter estimates that 4000 Arabs were killed inutile fighting or subsequently shot between the 23rd and 27th.
