TAXI-CAB PROPRIETOR’S BANKRUPTCY.

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 30. The Chief Justice to-day granted George Pinnoek, taxicab proprietor, his discharge from bankruptcy. Counsel for the official assignee said that official wanted an opportunity to refute the charges made against him of having not dealt with this bankruptcy impartially. The suggestions of impropriety were not justified. The Judge said the assignee should not be too thin-skinned when people he was looking after found fault with him—that was inevitable. It was better to bo in a minority of one than in a majority that was wrong. The bankrupt’s discharge was granted.
