CABINET DECISIONS

(Pet United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, October 30. Cabinet decided to-day to call for tenders for workmen's homes at Christchurch and Palmerston North. Plans were approved for the Tehora extension of the Stratford-Ongarue railway. Seven estates submitted by the Land Purchase Board were ordered to be inspected, with the view to purchase under the Laud for Settlements Act. . Cabinet also authorised the calling of tenders for the erection of a new National Museum for the Dominion. It was decided to invite tenders for extensive stop-banks and other works on the Ohinemuri River, which will involve an expenditure of over £IOO,OOO.
