CHRISTIAN UNITY.

SERMON BY ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY. Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. Received October 31. 8.35 a.m. LONDON. October 30. The Archbishop of Canterbury, in a sermon at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh, commended tho efforts after Christian unity. There wore efforts of struggling spontaneously and independently into actual life in centres so far apart as Melbourne, Toronto, Shanghai, New York, and Edinburgh. They would begin to see the dawning of day when the effort finally would be to emphasise things whereon Christians were agreed. It was a distinct change towards an understanding with God, but there must bo no' attempt to rush what could only come by growth.
