Four out of . six members of the Parliamentary Democratic Party have resigned from the party owing to a difference of opinion regarding the advisability of contesting the Maitland ' seat against the Government and Opposition candidates. The seceding members state that if there is to be no triangular contests, the carrying on of the party amounts to a farce.
