The Yictoriau increase is 114.481; New South Wales, 293,602; Queensland, 107,684; South Australia, 50,212; Westralia, 97,990; Tasmania, 18,736. Received October 31,;'9.30 a.m. MELBOURNE; October 31. The census shows the population of New South Wales to be 1,646.734; the Federal capital, 1714; Victoria, 1,315,551; Queensland, 605,813; South Australia, 408,558; Westralia,, 282,114; Tasmania, 191,211; Northern Territory, 3310. • The aboriginal population of Australia is 19,939!
