DROWNING ACCIDENT.

PALMERSTON N.. October 30. Yesterday afternoon a drowning accident occurred in the Mangaonc stream. The 8-vear-old son of Mr A. H. Dnfrcsnc, a well-known Palmerston builder and contractor. was paddlincr in the stream with some older boys, who left him for awhile, when they returned they .discovered him floating head downwards in deep water. TTo had evidently pot out of 'ms depth and had no one to'help him. The body has not yet been recovered.
