[lyell Aitaus.] Maruia.— Crushing at the Little Wonder machine will commence early in the present week. United Alpine.—Repairs to the machine are being- pushed on and when finished a trial crushing of Central Buller stone will be made. Caledonian, Lahry's.—The news continues most encouraging. Stone is now being raised carrying gold more plentifully than ever, some o! the specimens being quite nuggetty. [iNANGAIIUA HERALD. J Larry's, No 1 North. —The cap of the reef has been exposed in sinking a well in the shaft. No 1 South.—The leaders appear to be making into a solid reef of good width. Good stone has been found in the roof of the tunnel on the eastern side, showing prospect of the reef carrying to the" upper levels. Inangauua Crushing Co.— The last t«o new stamper boxes were bronghton the claim on Friday. Ppo2Nix—The tunnel is now in 40 feet and the reef is making, showing pretty good gold. Italian Gully Co.—The reef is widening and indications generally continue favorable. Inglewood.—The main paddock is more than half full of stone, and there will be sufficient out in ten days to justify the commencement of another crushing. 'Hie Westland battery will be used. Anderson's.—A stoppage of the machinery occurred last week, owing to breakage in one of the centres. Repairs have been effected, and crushing is proceeding as usual, with plenty of stone to work upon. Energetic.—The machine has been stopped, and a new shaft is to be sunk between the Ist and 2nd levels, to get out additional stone. Wealth of Nations.—A new contract has been let for taking out 100 tons, more or less, of stone from the shaft between the Ist and 2nd levels, at 12s Od per ton. This step is said to have been resolved upon in consequence of a desire on the part of the directors to further test the quality of the stone lying between the aforesaid levels;'

stone from that part of the mine having yielded over an ounce to the ton.
