RESIDENT MAGISTRATE COURT.
(Before Joseph Giles. Esq., E.M.) Tuesday, August i. Minnie Benzie, on the complaint of Constable Eendell, charged with attempting suicide, was committed for trial at the next sitting the District Court. Daniel Ward and William Hall, for fighting in the public streets, were each fined 10s and costs, or in default 21 hours' imprisonment. CIVIL OASES. Whyte v. Roberts Claim for £2 10s, balance of drapery accouut. Judgment by default. Costs, 9s. Bruen v. Eteveneaux.—Claim for £3, for surgical attedance to son for fracture of fore-arm. Judgment by default. Costs, 9s. Dowd v. M'Kenna.—Claim for £2. No appearance. Struck out. Gilmer Bros. v. Levi Buck. —Claim for £9 ss, board and lodging. Case adjourned for return of summons. Rogers v. Weitzel.—Claim for £7O 10s, alleged wrongful conversion of property, was heard and judgment deferred until to-morrow.
