HALCYON QUARTZ MINING CO. (Limited), MOKIHINUI. TO THE SHAREHOLDERS. GENTLEMEN,— Tour Directors have the honor to report that they have appointed William Champion Mining Manager of the Company, and have considered it advisable to maintain a working party on the mine during the past four months, and have now great pleasure in referring you to the Mining Manager's report herewith annexed. Being assured that the mine has been thoroughly prospected, and the results most satisfactory, the only subject remaining to be considered, by the Directors and Shareholders, is the speedy erection of mining plant upon the claim. With this view, tcudors hnvc been invited for the supply and erection of a five or ten heads stamper lattery, which close on the 21st August. Immediately thereafter an extraordinary meeting of the Company will be convened to deal with the tenders and consider the matter of ways and means. As the construction of Burning to conduct the water supply from Maori Creek to the machine site, must be carried on simultaneously with the erection of machinery, your Directors would recommend that the men already en<ras;ed at the mine be for the future if tenders for the work be determined upon, that the Mining Manager be directed to construct the tunnel which ho has recommended in his report.
