ALBION COAL COMPANY.

The adjourned annual meeting was held at Mr George Falla's store on Wednesday evening the 15th iustant. Shareholders representing 506 shares were present.

On the motion of Mr W. D. Kerr,: seconded by Mr.AV. Chauibo-.';, Air T. Field was voted to the chair: ■

The following resolutions w re. adopted. Proposed by Mr Kerr, and.scconi-td by Mr E. C. Chambers, " That Moors' Thomas Field and John Corr be elected Directors for the ensuintr year.

Proposed by Dr Thorpe and seconded by Mr Sheahan, " That in thej opinion of this meeting it is most desirable that a competent coal viewer shouid be employed to visit, and examine the mine and report upon the best means of opening up the same, and that the necessary works should be undertaken in time for the Albion Coal Company to avail itself at the earliest opportunity of carrying its coal by means of the Government railway now about being commenced." Eesolved, that this meeting is of opinion that the continued employment of the Coomerangin her present trade is contrary to the object fori which this company was formed, and it is suggested that the Directors cause her to be sold to the highest bidder, so that the capital locked up in her may be directed to the legitimate object of the company. Eesolved, that if possiblo all unallotted and forfeited shares be disposed of at par. Eesolved, that in the opinion of this meeting it is essential to the prosperity of the Albion Company that the sittings of the Board of Directors bo held in Westporfc.
