Esther Kent, accused of unlawfully and maliciously smashing a window at Maguire's Hotel, in Lyttelton street, pleaded guilty. ! ler " Charlie darling," she said, was inside " pitching" to the barmaid, and wouldn't come home, and so she tried to scire him. She was fined 40s for tho offence, 85s damages, and 9s Co3ls, with the alternative of one month's imprisonment withjiard labor. CIVIL CASES. Frank and JM'Earlanc v. W. F. Lam ing.—Giaim for £G lGs, amount due on 1.0. U. Judgment, for plaintiffs, by default, in amount claimed, and 13s costs. Mailer v. Margery M'Laren. —Claim for £1 17s, for lad boots and copper toes.
