Tho prompt and persistent efforts of the member for Charleston upon this and on other provincial questions, having largely contributed to bring about the present political crisis, it is pretty certain, whatever government comes into office provision will be made upon the new estimates lor tho bridge's early construction.

June 1. The ship Rouparell has arrived from London, with 300 immigrants, after a voyage of 90 days from land to laud. Three deaths and three births occurred. Tho passengers are all in excellent health. Thos. Henderson has resigned his seat in the Assembly. Philips (Mayor") is a candidate. W. S. Itecs i and Dargaville are ako spoken of.
