Captain Mundle has been appointed in his place, The Attorney-General on behalf of the General Government lias applied for an injunction to restrain the Wellington Provincial Treasurer from expending the balance of £50,000 appropriated by the Eoads, Bridges, and Other Works Ordinance. The application was ordered to stand over for the present, pending argument by Mr Travers to make present auditor perform his duty. March 17. It is reported that the difficulty between the General and Provincial Governments regarding the unexpended balance of £50,000 is about being arranged without appeal to the Supreme Court.
