BULLER DISTRICT ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of the Board was held on Saturday evening last the 13th instant, at the Court House, Westport. Present: Messrs Munro, Mullan, Milligan, and M'Enroe.

The minutes of laßt meeting were confirmed.

The Secretary reported that application had been made to the Survey department for a map definiug roads, tracks, and existing leases throughout the district, and that a promise had been received that the same should be prepared without delay. The Sub-Coinu.ittee for Addisons Flat gave in an interim report recommending that foot-bridges should be constructed across the Totara and Mountain Creeks. • The report was held over for consideration, with other matters of a similar purport. It was resolved that the Secretary should be instructed to communicate with the several Boards appointed under the Act as to the opinions held by them on the subject of amendment to the Act, with a view to ensure united action.

The chairman was authorised to wait upon the Provincial authorities to obtain if possible a small outlay to improve the approach to the Orawaiti Bridge. The Treasurer was authorised to procure particulars of all rights, privileges, and protections granted to any person for the maintenance or construction of any tracks, roads, bridges, or ferries within the district. The meeting stands adjourned until the 10th January proximo.
