Sib, —A report having been circu« lated, I know not by whom, that Mr O'Conor, nor having been successful in the late election for Superintendent, it ia my intention to resign my seat in the Provincial Council, I beg emphatically to deny that I have ever thought of so doing, or used any expression calculated to give the slightest grounds for such a report. The sittings of the Provincial Council I shall undoubtedly attend, and there dischage, to the best of my ability, the duties of a representa* tive of the district in which I live. Tours, itc, T.
