[Anglo-Australian Pruss Telegraph Agency] NELSON. "Nov. 12. The city election took place vester dav. Rout, 285; Pitt, 282; Greenfield, 2GI; Adams, 201. Three other candidates. John Kerr has been elected for Waimea West. CHARLESTON. Nov. 12. Mr O'Conor's meeting last night was tairly attended. He spoke hard against a portion of the Nelson press. A resolution was carried that vote of thanks be given to Mr O'Conor for his address, and that he is a fit and proper person to represent these districts as Superintendent, and that he has the confidence of this meeting.
