[Anglo-Australian I'ress Telegraph Agency] KEEFTON, October 27, 12 noon. Mr O'Conor held a small meeting at Ahaura. Not more than ten voters present. Mr Pinkerton urged that no opinions should be expressed, as other candidates were coming forward. All the speakers condemned the Curtis administration. The Hon. W. Fox was named as likely to come forward by Mr Guinness. A large meeting held at Half Ounce. Mr Cunningham chairman, was unanimously in Mr O'Conor's favor; and also at Granville with the same result.
Committees have been appointed at both meetings to support Mr O'Conor.
NELSON, October 27, 3 p.m. Mr Oswald Curtis ' lias issued his address to the electors. In the event of re election he will at once summon the Council and re construct the Executive from gentlemen representing the various interests, and possessing the confidence of a majority of the Council Ho will invite the co-operation of the Council in taking advice as to the possibility, now existing for the first time, of obtaining a loan for public works. He will hold meetings in the various districts immediately after the nomination.
