The Insurgents at L'arthegeua have formed a Ministry, The Government is negotiating with the Insurgents in Valen tia. Mr Gladstone is unwell. It has been stated in the House of Commons that the Carlists are in possession of Northern Spain, but that England would not at present recognise them as belligerents Twem'y-nve thousand a year has been granted to the Duke of Edinburgh by the House of Commons, on account of his marriage, and six thousand a year to the Duchess if she becomes a widow. The Pope, at a Consistory Council, again threatened to excommunicate Freemasons. FitzJames Stephens becomes SolicitorGeneral. The loss by the Baltimore fire is estimated at 600,00Ud01. The harvest in England is plentiful, and the agricultural prospects encouraging. President M'Mahon answers, in his message, for the preservation of peace, and requests that no demonstration may mark the departure of the Germans. He says that peace is the first necessity for the nation. There is desperate fighting in Spain. Murcia is in the hands of the Insurgents. The exports for June from London to Melbourne amount to £o 12,000 ; Sydney, £342,000; Adelaide, £207,000; Queensland, £62,000. Wool, 110,000 bales have been sold, prices firm; washed and combings in command at rates equal to the 18th of February ; scoured, easier; Mudgee (N.S.W.) brought 3s to 4s.
