Monday, Ma:rcii 25. (Before J. Giles, Esq., R.M.) Graves and Fleming v. Fred (a Maori)— Claim for £3 19s 6d. Struck out, as there was no appearance. Dickens v. M'Hugh, jun.—Claim for 10s 6d for washing. Plaintiffs wife appeared, as her husband was ill. Judgment for plaintiff for the amount, with 9s costs. Wardrope and Brown v. Waters.— Claim for £4 Os 5d for meat, &c. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff for amount claimed, with 9s costs. "Wardrope and Brown y. More.— Claim for £8 8s 4d, for meat, &c. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for plaintiff, with 13s costs. M'Hugh v. Wardrope.— Claim for swimming cattle. Both parties appeared in person. Judgment for defendant, costs 13s. Dickenson v. Spence.—Claim for 14? 6d. Struck out. M'Kenna v. Hughes.—Claim for £l3 8s Id for goods supplied. Mr Home appeared for plaintiff; defendant in person. Nonsuit with costs. Brown V. Campfield.—This case was published some time ago, whereiu defendant refused service of summons on account of being summoned in the wrong Christian name. Defendant did not appear. Judgment for payment to be made in fourteen days, or two months' imprisonment. Leslie v. Barr.—Summons forwarded to Wellington for service. Adjourned to April Ist. The following publichouse licenses were renewed: Elizabeth Savage, Ship and Castle Hotel; Geo. Clark, Oddfellows Hotel; John Derungs, Imperial Hotel; Henry Stannard, Royal Hotel; and Mary Hall.
