Monday, Maech 18. (Before J. Giles, Esq., K.M.) Theresa Maria Gething v. Sarab Fetherston. Assault by striking plaintiff on the head with an eartbenware plate, on 9th March. Fined 10s and costs. Sarab Fetherston v. Theresa Maria Gething. The complainant stated that defendant on the 9th March assaulted her by striking her on the face with her fist, and by dragging the hair out of her bead. Fined 20s and costs. Christopher Brown v. Mrs O'Brien. —Claim £3 13s 4d. No appearance. Struck out. Graves and Fleming v. Paul.— £8 4s 3d. No appearance. Struck out. McHugh v. Pell.—Claim £4 15s. This w:is an action for wages because plaintiff had not received a week's warning. Judgment for 15s and costs 15s. Graves and Fleming v. Zacariah.— Claim for £4 Ss. No appearance. Struck out. McLeod and Bossard v. Sorrensen. This case arose from others tried in this court concerning a certain race, of which it is said the defendant held illegal possession, and that it should be held open for occupation by miners. Complaint dismissed without costs. "WARDEN'S COUET. Several applications for leases for goldmining purposes were granted.
