(PROlt OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Wednesday, Oct. 11. On Monday a Bacl accident occurred to a miner named John Webb, caused by a fall of areth. He was very severely injured about the head and body, and is now lying in the District Hospital in a very precarious condition. Dr Thorpe of Westport, was telegraphed for, in order to attend the sufferer, and he arrived here yesterday evening. A branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters, to bo named Court Charleston, will be inaugurated at Carr's Masonic rlotel on Monday evening, when the occasion will be commemorated by a banquet. Tlie Towors family performed at the Casino de Venise for the third time, on Tuesday evening, to an excellent house. The entertainment elicited rapturous applause, and at the conclusion Mr Towers announced his intention of performing ou Thursday and Saturday evenings.
