POST OFFICE SAVINGS' BANK

The New Zealand Gazette, of March 25th

publishes the following regulations foi ths banks as above newly established at Christ church, Lyttelftm, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Akrsng Ilokitika, Groymoutb, Waimate, Westport and Charleston. 1. Interest at the rate of 4 per cent. p« annum js given on iliiOOand under j at the rate of 3. per cent, per annum on »um| undor .£SOO ; and in the same proportion foj arty shorter time on. every complete £1 dtposited, provided that no interest be allowed on more than £SOO. 2. Depositors in the JPost Office Banks haye direct Gayernment Security f<r the prompt. repayment of their money. 3. A depositor in any one of the Post Office Banks can continue his deposits at any either of such Banks, and can withdraw his money at that Post Office Bank which is most conyenient to him .by giving notice of big moVal. 4. The strictest 'secresy is i jl respect to the names of depositors in Post Office. Banks, and the amounts of their deposits. .'I-,,., \ .. i. 6. Money may be deposited by or on behalf of minors. Depositors ovor seven yhn of ago are treated as persona of full age,'bat' minors under seven years of age cannot with, draw their deposits until they hav« reached the age of seven. . 7.
