London, May 24. The " Times" thinks the terms of settlement of the Alabama claims proposed in the Treaty of Washington are honourable to England. Pabis, May 24. The barricades at Bellville still hold out, but the insurgents are discouraged. This is the only point they hold, and it is expected that all opposition will be ended to-day. Versailles, May 24. The Louvre and the Tuilleries have been set ou fire by the insurgents with petroleum. Dombrowski is wounded and in prison. Panama, via Jamaica, May 18. The insurgent rebels are within three miles of Panama. The American Consul declares that the seizure by the rebels of the United States steamer Montigo is piracy, and he has called upon the captain of the British war vessel Chameleon to recapture her. Great excitement prevails at Panama, and business is at a standstill. New Yoek, May 24. A parting banquet has been given by Cyrus Field to the British High Commissioners. There were one hundred distinguished guests. Speeches were given by Earl de Grey, Lord Tenterden, Sir Stafford Northcote, General M'Dowell, Henry Ward Beecher, Cullen, Bryant, and others. Versailles, May 22. The insurgents have fired the Palace of the Legion of Honour and Council of State. Fumes of petroleum pervade the city.
Berlin, May 24. Fabrice demanded that the Commune should give up the National Guards who attacked Washbourae's house. G-rouset ordered a court-martial, but the culprits fled, and he could only express sorrow and indignation. London, May 24, 10 a.m. The Derby was won by the Zephyr colt, Albert Victor 2, and King of the Forest 3. London, May 24, 10 p.m. For the Derby there was a dead heat for second place between Albert Victor and King of the Forest. A terrible explosion took place at one o'clock to-day in the centre of Paris; the Hotel de Ville has probably been blown up. The news has been telegraphed from outside Paris.
