TO THE TERRESTRIAL GLOBE.
BY A MTSEBABLE WBETCH. Koll on, thou ball, roll on ! Through pathless realms of Space Roll on! What, though I'm in a Bony case ? What, though I cannot meet my bills t What, though I suffer toothache's ills P What, though I swallow countless pills ? Never you mind 1 Roll on! Roll on, thou ball, roll onl Through seas of inky air Roll on! It's true I've got no shirt to Wear ; It's true my butcher's bill is due ; It's true my prospects all look blue— But don't let that unsettle you! Never you mind! Roll on! [lt rolls on.] A Berlin professor says :—" All children are born with blue eyes : the darker hues come later." An Irish editor says he dons not know whether the professor is exactly right, but he has known people whose eyes got black some years after birth—about election time or " coming home from a wake." . It is a fact not easily accounted for, that at parties, after supper, the guests begin to grow thin.
